The WEMAX Google TV Projector is a great option for anyone who wants to watch movies or shows at home with a big screen. It’s easy to set up and portable, so you can move it around or even take it outside for movie nights. My kids are excited to try it outside once the weather improves! The picture quality is excellent, offering clear 1080P resolution and support for 4K, which makes everything look sharp and colorful.

With Google TV, you can easily stream shows from Netflix, YouTube, and more, making it super convenient to access your favorite content. Plus, it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so you can connect other devices without needing cables. The built-in Dolby Audio gives a nice sound experience, but if you're in a big room, you might want to connect extra speakers for better sound. Overall, the WEMAX projector is a solid choice for home entertainment.

That's incredible value for all the features and benefits you get with this smart projector. This is my second Wemax projector, the first being the excellent UST 4K Nova. I had that projector for over 2 years and it never failed once, and brought many nights of family entrtainment. I was keen to explore this smaller but newer Wemax model.

It arrived well packaged and inside there is a user manual, power supply, remote control and an attachable stand. The stand really provides extra support in positioning the projector in your room of choice. Gone are the days of spending many minutes of trying to get the right height, the right angle and distance of the projector in relation to the wall or screen, the VP02 features auto keystone, auto focus and screen/wall alignment. It works very well and in no time I had a 120" image on my wall.

Setting it up was extremely easy and the only steps involved were connecting to my wifi and inputting my Google account login details. That was pretty much it. The remote control connects within seconds of pairing and does a fine job of navigating the screen and apps. As it's Google TV (not the older Android TV) this is Netflix approved and licensed and all the big streamers and apps are on here. I have a NAS server at home with hundreds of movies and after installing VLC player on the projector I was able to connect and browse my full library.

The image is great, it's full HD and not 4K but to be expected given the very low price. Honestly, I don't think 4K is essential unless you must have the absolute best and are prepared to pay thousands on your setup. This is just as enjoyable in my opinion. Brightness is not the VP02's greatest strength as it only hits 300 lumens, and it's ISO and not ANSI. Daytime viewing or in a bright environment is not really possible as the image is very weak and hard to see. At night or in a darkened room then this comes into it's own.

It does have 2 built in speakers which are 5W of power each so a total of 10W. It's loud enough to enjoy in a small or medium size setting or room but I wouldn't say it creates a soundstage like a dedicated soundbar can. It lacks bass and sometimes can sound a little muddled. As it features bluetooth it's easy to pair and connect with a larger speaker which is what I have done. The audio has been in sync with no dropouts, and watching an action movie or horror really becomes more immersive. Still for a tv show or movie with more dialogue the built in speakers do just fine.

The VP02 is a little larger than I was expecting but I would say it's still compact. The build quality is good given the pricing and I appreciate the dark green color versus typical black or silver.

I can't think of many other smart projectors in this price range that do as good a job as the Wemax VP02 and I look forward to using this to entertain the family for the rest of the dreary winter months ahead!
